I see that parts of Africa are again in trouble... Drought, famine and conflict threatening to kill multitudes.
An ever turning circle of misery. Clearly there are no easy answers to this. Giving life giving aid to the people gives them a lifeline, but does not solve the underlying causes.
The factions fighting there are using the population as pawns in a deadly game. Almost always it's the fighting that creates many of the problems. Now if there were some commodities that nations were interested in, I think this would be dealt with. However...
Am I being cynical? Perhaps, but think about it.

It is a terrible thing that has happened in London. And my sympathies go out to all that have been affected by this attack.
I feel the media however have given the perpetrators what they wanted... Publicity.

My youngest step daughter is moving out of our house to live with her fiancé in two weeks.
I've actually got a lot of time for her, but she has not done a great deal to help while with us, which has not gone down too well with the wife.
I do get the impression that she and her partner are looking for a perfection in life that will be impossible to achieve. (That's an age thing) But it is nice to see my step daughter so happy. It's about time. They seem well suited for each other. I'm sure they will weather the storms life throws at them from time to time.
I wish them well in the life they wish to lead.

Well that's it! Pestilence and famine will now fall down on the UK. The first born of every household will get mumps, and businesses will wither and die leaving a baron waste land in its wake.
Every bad news story in the media from now on will be blamed on the majority of people in the UK wanting to leave the EU.
With everything there are winners and losers. Now let's be positive for a change.
The UK has not fallen off a cliff, in fact so far its been doing ok. Despite the doom and gloom of some.
Change is coming... Embrace the change.

Yesterday our cat decided to jump up onto the cabinet... And failed miserably.
The other month she tried to jump onto the top of the polished banister rail at the highest point and slipped off plunging 15 feet to the stairs below. Luckily she did not hurt herself.
A stunt cat she is not...

To be fair to our cat her normal route (tiptoeing on top of a wooden chair before jumping) was barred so she decided to try from the printer which was further away, so she misjudged it and ended up (after scrabbling for a couple of seconds) falling on her back, luckily on a pile of ironing.
She was a rescue cat which had been starved and been very ill. There was hardly anything of her when we first had her, she was as light as a feather. Now she is at her correct weight, though she has to have a special diet for the rest of her life due to her treatment in the past.
Very scared at first, but over time we've gained her trust and she's a real character now, but still a little timid with other people and sharp movements make her flinch. (perhaps due to past mistreatment)
Anyway she's a happy cat now.

Yesterday our cat got the wrong side of my step daughters cat and I had to intervene. our cat came off worse and a bit blooded. thought she'd been bitten, but seems ok today.
I'll be glad when the other cat is gone. That's going to be the end of the week as my step daughter is moving in with her boyfriend then. She's a lovely cat, but does not get on with other cats at all.
But our cat still keeps trying to make friends with her... You can't tell some cats...

Well... Here we are. On the brink of a brave new world.
Now... How random is that?
What am I talking about?
You'll just have to join the dots.
